March 5th, 2024 - Primary Election
On October 16, 2023 the City Council adopted by unanimous vote Resolution No. 2023-57 declaring a fiscal emergency.
On October 24, 2023 by unanimous vote the City Council of City of Grass Valley adopted Resolution No. 2023-62 that called for a Special Election on March 5, 2024 to consider a Transaction and Use Tax. The consideration would be for a general tax of 3/8 cent (0.375%) sales tax from which can fund firefighting personnel, wildfire risk land management, other fire safety measures or and other lawful purpose of the City.
Arguments for or against the measure are to be submitted to the City Clerk no later than 5pm December 15, 2023.
