Free Sand and Sand bags are available to City of Grass Valley residents at the City’s Corp Yard, located at 556 Freeman Lane, Grass Valley
Please remember to bring your own shovel.
Please take only what you plan to use as sandbags are in limited supply.
The Nevada County Office of Emergency Services (OES) would like to remind county residents that free sand and sandbags are available at the below locations.
- Next to the Nevada County Warehouse on the corner of Highway 49 and East Broad Street in Nevada City
- Penn Valley Fire Protection District located at 10513 Spenceville Road, Penn Valley
- North San Juan Community Hall located at 29190 CA-49, North San Juan
- Higgins Fire Department located at 10106 Combie Road, Auburn
