Over-the-Counter Building Permits
Over-the-counter permits are issued for work that does not require plan review, such as:
- Electrical Service Upgrades
- Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Replacement
- Re-Roofs
- Re-Siding
- Water Heater Replacement
- Window Replacement (non-structural)

Plan Submittal Requirements
Residential Plan Submittal Checklist
- Minimum plan size is 11″ X 17″ / Maximum size is 24″ X 36″
- Commercial plans must be prepared and stamped by a licensed design professional
- Plans must be legible and drawn to scale
- Structural documents: Minimum scale is 1/8″ = 1′ / Preferred scale is 1/4″ = 1′
